About the EGA | Membership

Membership of the EGA

EGA members come from throughout Europe, not just the European Union.

Ordinary Membership

(ie, Full Membership) of the EGA is open to pharmaceutical companies and associations, which must meet the following criteria:

  • Are commercially active in Europe;
  • Demonstrate that their activities are in accordance with the objectives of the Association
  • Demonstrate that their activities are not in conflict with promoting the interests of the European generic pharmaceutical and bulk chemical industry.

Most companies and associations join the EGA as "Ordinary Members" and enjoy the full benefits of EGA activities.

Associate Member (Company):

  • Open to companies — including non-European companies — engaged in or related to the generic medicines industry.
  • One representative on EGA Committees and appropriate working groups, but no membership of EGA Board or working groups which are liaising with external organisations (such as the EGA/EMEA liaison group and the EGA/MRFG liaison group).

Partner Association:

  • Designed for national associations which are either newly formed or have limited resources.
  • After the first two years, the partner Association becomes an Ordinary Member.

For further information on becoming a member of the EGA, please contact the secretariat directly. Check the EGA Links page for the websites of EGA members.
