EGA Press ReleaseWednesday, 1 September 2004
EGA REVISES ITS VISUAL IDENTITY The EGA has revised its logo, incorporating the image of a "capsule". The new logo used from today — 1st September 2004 — will make the EGA more instantly recognisable as an organisation dedicated to the provision of affordable medicines. Explaining the modifications, EGA Director General, Greg Perry states: “Last year marked the 10th anniversary of the EGA’s foundation. We had considered making a major change to our ’corporate image’ to reflect this event and the growing importance of the generic pharmaceutical sector in Europe. But since the EGA has become so well recognised under its current European star logo and its mission statement ’making medicines affordable’, we decided on simply adapting our current logo by incorporating the capsule image and modernising the lettering. We have made all the changes and designs in-house making the exercise extremely cost effective — reflecting the nature of our industry.” Earlier this year saw the launch of the EGA’s new Web site and the publication of the EGA’s CD profile on European generic pharmaceuticals. This year also marks the EGA’s 10th Annual conference. This will be held in Amsterdam on 8th and 9th November and will be opened by president of EU Health Council, J.F. Hoogervorst, Minister of Health Care of the Netherlands. << Back For further information contact the EGA on |
